A very good attempt at the video 😀 How did you managed to find the songs and the translations for those interviews? Was it all by the tour guide? The comments filmed where all relatively positive comments so I was hoping for a more neutral comment at the end of the video. In my opinion, it would take at least 2 more decades before heart-felt opinions by locals can be recorded.
Thanks Thidar!
For one of the songs, we were just passing by a village, and we heard somebody playing the guitar. So we went in and asked him if we could record. He sang for us one of the songs he composed himself!
Translation for the interviews was done by Sophia. We met her via CouchSurfing in Myanmar!
We don’t really travel with a tour guide, too restrictive.
The people we met were really very positive about the future, maybe you are right about heart-felt opinions, but well, we’ll never know. 🙂
Excellent piece of work..
May i repost or link up on my blog/website? 🙂
Sure Frank!
