One Year Three Kids – Travel Packing List

🌍 One Year Three Kids – Travel Packing List

Travelling across continents with three young kids means every item has to earn its place. To keep things organised, we sort everything into categories rather than by bag. Here’s the full breakdown:

💻 Electronics & Tech

  • Laptop + hard disks + charger + mouse/mousepad
    • We still accept freelance projects for extra income if we are able to find the time. Also we use our laptops to edit our daily videos, travel planning and to watch shows when the kids are asleep. Much better on a bigger screen than our phones I guess.
  • Tablet
    • One of the most useful items we have. We use it for long transportation screen times, our home schooling lessons and for reading digital books to them.
  • Orbitkey Konmari 2-In-1 Tech Pouch
  • USB cables + watch charging cables
  • Kids’ headphones (x2)
    • It has a self regulating volume, so you don’t have to worry about the volume being too loud in their ears.
  • Pacsafe RFIDsafe Gear Pouch
  • HDMI cable
  • Universal extension cable
  • Crossing World Travel Adaptor (x3)
    • One to charge our stuff, and one for the baby camera and white noise for each of the kid’s rooms. Super convenient since it has multiple USB ports.
  • Portable chargers: 20k + 5k (x4)
    • For camping and also very useful during power outages!
  • Phone monopod
    • Doubles up as a weapon 🙂
  • Portable fan
  • Headlamps (x2)
    • For camping and blackouts
  • Insta360 camera

Our bags

Daddy’s Main Bag – Osprey Atmos AG 65 Backpack

So far we are just so amazed how many things can actually fit inside. We really loved the top loading together with two front zip access, which really gives us the ability to access items even with everything packed in. We deliberately packed our diaper bag near those access points so that we can easily access essentials like this in an emergency. The bottom compartment can also be separated for a more modular access. Another great things is that the top compartment can be totally disengaged and be carried on it’s own!

Mummy’s Main Bag – Osprey Fairview 55

One of the most versatile designs out there and we see a lot of people carrying this bag in our travels. Its front loading design is one of the most useful factors where you can easily open up the bag like a suitcase to access your things. It has multiple compartments within, allowing us to organise our stuff. The main compartment has straps to hold the items down, and the best and main reason why we love this bag so much is the ability to integrate our secondary day pack to the front, essentially combining both bags together into one easy-to-carry big bag.

Daddy’s Day Bag – Pacsafe EXP35 Travel Backpack

Our daily workhorse and the most important bag in our travels. It’s by Pacsafe so you know it’s definitely safe. It has meshed exteriors to prevent people from cutting it. Its zips are specially designed to be able to lock. It has multiple compartments both inside and outside the bag, allowing us to organise our items. One of the main reasons we chose this bag is also because of its expandable water bottle pouches on both sides to fit all 4 of our water bottles for easy access! And the best thing, the front loading design allows the bag to fully open allowing us to easily access everything at one go. Oh and it has a padded laptop compartment at the back too!
